Having been in a major road accident Ian's fractured lower jaw was re-set at an odd angle which resulted in unnatural stresses on the bite of his front teeth. This so called 'traumatic occlusion' destroyed several of his front teeth which were eventually crowned. Ultimately many had to be removed as the roots were splitting and loosening.

The new teeth you see are all linked together, ten of them across the top jaw, in a porcelain bridge reinforced with a durable gold alloy substructure.

Ian's bite has also been adjusted to relieve the stress on all his teeth.
