Kate
Kate is a wonderful lady who unfortunately is a severe 'Bruxist'.
Bruxism is the habitual subconcious grinding and clenching of the teeth.
Many of us do it without realising but only very few of us do it to a degree that causes signs of wear and tear or even painful symptoms.
Kate had unfortunately damaged her teeth quite considerably, shortening them quite a bit.
We used a diagnostic bite splint to not only stabilise her nocturnal grinding in her sleep but also to establish a baseline position to work from.
We then designed her teeth and tested the design in her mouth with temporary plastic veneers, fine tuning the design not only for beautiful aesthetics but also functional stability and smoothness.
Once tested for a few weeks we had our expert ceramists at Dental Arts Lab in the USA duplicate our plastic design in hard wearing Lithium Disilicate Glass to produce this stunning result.
