This was a truly fun and enjoyable case, made so by the fact that Gautam is actually even more of a perfectionist than we are...and that's tough to be
Frustrated when a small child noticed an unsightly dead black root and receeding gumline, Gautam knew he had to do something about it and contacted us for advice.
On close examination it became apparent that one neigbouring tooth was chipped and decayed whilst on the other side one neigbour was twisted and the next worn at an angle. These presenting signs coupled with the receeding gum and dead root suggested a bite disharmony may have been the cause of Gautam's problems.
Further examination confirmed the suspicions so we spent a few days first correcting Gautam's jaw alignment and bite whilst commencing Dr Rod Kurthy's 'Deep Bleaching' system to brighten his other teeth. Meanwhile we redesigned Gautam's gum and dead root contours to hide the positively black root and debated at length the final design for his front four teeth before finally placing three veneers and a new ceramic post retained crown.
