Patricia
Having looked at many other practices in America and the UK Patricia, a world reknowned Opera singer, flew all the way from her home in the Caribbean to be treated at The Chrysalis An extremely complex dental makeover ! Patricia had upper teeth that all tilted inwards. The challenge was to build her smile into a natural arc whilst maintaining a stable bite and more importantly not altering Patricia's phonetics. For an Opera singer any injudicious change to the shape of the mouth could be disastrous. Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of rock group Queen, famously would not allow any dentist to alter his proclined teeth for fear his phonetics would be altered. We were honoured to a solo performance by Patricia from our humble dental chair to check we had maintained all the subtle nuances of her voice. Patricia visited us for lunch with her sister, daughters and grandson just hours before returning to the airport for a final check of her new smile. The result has been outstanding. Patricia's teeth were constructed by Frontier Dental Lab, California. Frontier Dental Lab hold the prestigious American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry 'Best of Show' (2004) Smile Award. Frontier are one of only three laboratories currently accredited to work for the Rosenthal Institute of Aesthetic Dentistry at NYU. |
"I hated my old smile and all the gaps at the sides... My daughters were quite sceptical about me having cosmetic work on my mouth.... They both agree now the difference is amazing. I am so happy, everyone loves my new teeth. I researched so many dentists from all over before choosing you.... I wont let anyone else touch my teeth now." |
